Whispers in the Wind is my blog about the writing life and related things of interest like book reviews. It’s called Whispers in the Wind because a single blog is like a whisper in the large wind of voices in the blogosphere. Also, like a whisper, I want it to get in your head so you any can’t stop thinking about.
As for me, my name is Jim Rada. I’m a freelance writer of books, magazine articles, newspaper articles and web writing. I’ve won a variety of writing awards from the Maryland-Delaware-DC Press Association, Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists, Maryland State Teachers Association, Utah Ad Federation and CNHI.
I especially like history articles. If you do, too, check out the sister blog to this one. It’s Time Will Tell… . You can find out more about my books at my web site.
Thanks for visiting. Let me know what you think.

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed the article about ghost towns in Maryland Magazine. However, MeadWestvaco has been NewPage for at least 3 years. Please correct this in future stories.

Thanks, you’re right, of course. Why do I still products with MeadWestvaco on them or are they just old products? I heard about the loss of the free heat in Luke. How big a hit will that be on the remaining residents?
